Beachwood, Ohio, City Council has approved plans for a combination dog daycare/bar/restaurant, or Bark & Barrel, to be opened at 24619 Chagrin Blvd. The proposal was supported by Grant Passell and Evan Pascorella from Brad Kowit Real Estate, representing the real estate company Brad KOWit Real. The facility, set to be named Bark & Bar, will operate as a standard dog day care, with employees overseeing the turfed area for dogs both indoors and outdoors. The restaurant/bar portion of the business is a permitted use in the U-4A zoning district, but as of now, a dog dayCare is only permitted in a U-8 zoning district. The capacity would be about 40 dogs.
