A British court has sentenced 35-year-old Ross Neville to nearly 12 years in prison for causing death by dangerous driving and driving without insurance. Following a heavy drinking session, Neville got behind the wheel of his Ford Raptor pickup truck with his friend, Matthew Newton, who was pronounced dead at the scene. Despite being over the legal alcohol limit, Neville chose to drive and lost control of the vehicle, leading to a high-speed collision with a metal crash barrier. He left the scene without calling for help and did not immediately alert emergency services. CCTV footage and financial records provided a detailed timeline of the events leading up to the crash. Neville was sentenced to 11 years and 11 months in prison and given a seven-year driving ban after his release.
