Man accused of murdering a woman at the Chiefs parade in Kansas City, Missouri, has been sentenced to 2 years in prison after pleading guilty to a weapons charge. The charges against Dominic MILLER were reduced after he pleaded guilty to unlawful use of a weapon and were reduced to lesser charges. Jackson County Prosecutor LISA JohNSON is addressing questions about why these charges were reduced. The victim's family has expressed dissatisfaction with the reduced charges, stating they want MILLER's case to go to trial based on the evidence against him. Another suspect, LYNDON MAIZE, is set for trial next year. Another accused of opening fire at the parade is also facing charges related to the same incident.
