A jury in Santa Monica has found Bill Cosby guilty of drugging and raping Donna Motsinger 54 years ago, awarding him $19.25 million in damages. The comedian, who did not testify in his own defense, was found liable for claims of the sexual assault of an intoxicated woman and sexual battery by the jury after three days of deliberation. He has also been ordered to pay Motsingers $17.5 million for her past mental trauma and another $1.75 million for future mental suffering. Additional punitive damages are still undetermined. Despite the allegations, Cosby maintains that the sex was consensual and he is being tainted due to his cultural status.
