The legendary Philadelphia Eagles announcer, Merrill Reese, was honored with a cake commemorating his 50th anniversary on the radio. WIP Sports Radio Philadelphia held a party at MaGerk's Horsham restaurant from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., with host Spike Eskin, former Eagle Ike Reese, and Jack Fritz also present. Some of their famous calls, including the "Philly Special," were played over the air.
