Appeals court reduces sentence for man convicted of murder and safecracking

An appeals court has reduced the life sentence of a man convicted of murder and attempted robbery to seven years in prison. The man, who was 18 when he confessed to the crime, is still serving a life sentence for the crime. He is also serving a sentence of seven years to life for attempted murder. The court ruled that he was a youthful offender in both cases.
