Researchers: Submit Proposals to Analyze Commercial Astronaut Health and Performance Data - NASA
Published on March 17, 2026.
The NASA-funded Translational Research Institute for Space Health (TRISH) is accepting proposals for secondary analysis of de-identified commercial astronaut health and performance data in the EXPAND Database and Biorepository. This solicitation is part of TRISH’s Enhancing eXploration Platform and ANalog Definition (EXPAND) Program. The projects selected from this call for proposals will help enhance understanding of health changes experienced during short-duration missions and in a non-governmental astronaut subject population. Researchers from all categories of U.S. institutions and companies are eligible to submit proposals. Selected investigators will receive non-monetary award consisting of secure access to the requested de-ident datasets and limited technical support to facilitate understanding of data dictionaries and study protocols.
