President Donald Trump has indicated that the United States is okay with allowing a Russian oil tanker to reach Cuba, effectively easing a blockade that has caused an energy crisis. The tanker, owned by the Russian government, is estimated to be carrying an estimated 730,000 barrels of oil and could reach Cuba by Monday night. Despite this, Trump stated that he was not concerned about helping Russian President Vladimir Putin, who has seen a significant increase in oil and gas revenue due to the Iran war. The Cuban government has been cut off from energy sales by allowing private firms, but this has not been enough.
