Canada's Ivey PMI shows activity shrinking for first time in four months

The Ivey Purchasing Managers Index (PMI) has shown that Canadian economic activity contracted in March for the first time in four months, according to the data. The seasonally adjusted index fell to 49.7 from 56.6 in February, marking its first time below the 50 threshold since November. The Ivey PMI measures monthly variation in economic activity and indicates a decrease in activity. The inventories index also dropped from 57.2 to 75.9.
