UCLA senior Megan Grant ties softball single-season HR mark

UCLA senior Megan Grant has broken the NCAA Division I softball single-season record, tying the record set by former Arizona player Laura Espinoza in 1995. The record-breaking home run came during the Big Ten tournament semifinals against Wisconsin, a game UCLA won 19-5. Grant is one away from breaking the record, possibly occurring as soon as Saturday's final match against Nebraska. Both the UCLA and Oklahoma teams have both hit over 173 home runs in a season, with Oklahoma's Kendall Wells remaining at 36.
