Fashion Designer Sculpts Wedding Dress from Snow in N.Y.C.'s Central Park, Mourns After It Melts

Fashion designer Colette Komm created a snow wedding dress from snow in Central Park, New York City. The designer, known for her couture wedding gowns, used a 12-inch serrated bread knife to create the "snowmannequin" using. She was most proud of the realistic movement of the dress's hem. However, the dress began to melt later in the day, and Komm returned to sculpting the snowman. She mourned its death by turning its sign into a headstone and adding red roses to mark its grave. Despite the snow wedding gown not lasting long, Komm expressed gratitude for its popularity among New Yorkers.
