Detroit to get a PWHL expansion team in 2026

The Professional Women's Hockey League (PWH) will introduce an expansion team to Detroit in 2026-27, with home games to be held at Little Caesars Arena. The announcement was made on Wednesday, May 6th, with the executive vice-president of the league stating that the team fits the criteria for a team.
