Resident says crypto scam cost him $3 million: Highland Heights Police Blotter

A resident in Highland Heights, Ohio, reported being scammed out over $3 million after receiving a series of text messages from an unknown person who wanted him to invest in cryptocurrency. The man, 71, had wired the person money and set up an account for him, but only discovered he had been scammed when he no longer had access to the account. The incident is under investigation with the FBI also involved. A caller reported seeing two people having sex in a car in the Home Depot parking lot on April 7. A known shoplifter had just left Kohl's loss prevention, and Kohl’s loss prevention reported that she had placed four Sephora items in her purse and possibly returned to steal them. A woman reported that her soon to be ex-husband had violated a protection order by sending her text messages requesting belongings from his co-worker's phone.
