Germany eases arms exports restrictions for Gulf states, Ukraine

Germany has simplified the export of certain air and naval defence equipment to the Gulf states and Ukraine, in an effort to ensure deliveries quickly. The new general export licence, valid for six months, applies to exports to Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain and Oman. Exporations are permitted without having to submit an individual application to the BAFA office for export control. The regulation also stipulates that companies must register and deliver monthly reports.
