Deadly plane crash kills pilot in rural Harrison County

The Federal Aviation Administration alerted the Harrison County Sheriff's Office about a possible aircraft crash just before 7 p.m. Tuesday. Deputies found a single-engine plane that had crashed into a grove of trees and declared the pilot dead at the scene. The crash is still under investigation by the Harrison county Sheriff’s Office, the FAA and the NTSB.
