Two Santa Rosa residents, Desiree Carmen Fuentes and Terry Joe Harris, were found dead in Lake County following a California Highway Patrol traffic stop in Clearlake. The victims were identified by the Lake County Sheriff’s Office as those of the 43-year-old and 58-year old respectively. The officers stopped a gray Chevrolet Suburban for a registration violation and it continued briefly before stopping on 18th Avenue near Oak Street. The male passenger, Alex Kenneth Schussolin, 37, of Clearlake, tried to flee but was quickly detained. The driver, Jasslynn Pearl Critchett, 32, remained at the scene. Police later found an unresponsive man in the rear passenger area of the Suburban and a firearm near the location where Schusslin attempted to flee. Both Schussolons and Critcheatt have been booked into the Lake county Jail on suspicion of murder, carjacking, and being a felon in possession of a firearm and ammunition.
