INTEGRIS Health and Medical Group has announced service cuts and layoffs due to cuts from Medicare and Medicaid from the federal government's "One Big Beautiful Bill". The closure of clinics and reduction in workforce actions are part of these measures. The expected annual impact on the health group is a net revenue loss of $130M. The changes will be made over the next three to six months to ensure continuity of care for patients and allow for transition time. Dr. Sumit Nanda, past president of the Oklahoma State Medical Association, said the cuts were "disheartening" and could have a significant impact on rural hospitals, particularly those with large amounts of debt.
