The changes will be made over the next three to six months to ensure continuity of care for patients and allow for transition time. Dr. Sumit Nanda, past president of the Oklahoma State Medical Association, said the cuts were "disheartening" and could have a significant impact on rural hospitals, particularly those with large amounts of debt.
