The state of Ohio’s transportation committee awarded $35 million to Brook Park for road improvements near the opening of the Browns indoor NFL stadium in 2029. This fell short of the $70.2 million sought by the city but was the largest of the 11 awards made statewide totaling $123.1 million for the 2026 round of funding. The total cost of the planned work is estimated at $82 million. Browns parent company Haslam Sports Group is contributing nearly $12 million. The project includes major improvements to the Interstate 71/Snow Road interchange near the stadium, local road improvements, and a pedestrian bridge over Engle Road. It's unclear what would happen to the plan if funding falls short.
