The University of Iowa has launched an online tool for residents to prepare for potential flooding. The Iowa Flood Information System consolidates all flood-relevant data from across the state and location. The system allows users to access real-time river levels, flood alerts, forecasts, and interactive flood maps. The primary vehicle for communicating data is the Iowa Flood Center, which provides the most recent and accurate data available. The tool is also supported by the USGS and the National Weather Service.
