A passenger plane crashed in 1992, killing 27 people on board, including the pilot, on the Cleveland-bound USAir flight. The incident occurred during a snowstorm. Another tragedy occurred late Sunday, when an Air Canada jet collided with a fire truck while landing at LaGuardia, killing the pilot and co-pilot.
