This comes as the team prepares to welcome the Yankees to Fenway Park for the first series of the season between the AL East teams. Gray, who was not scheduled to pitch in the three-game set against the Yankees, expressed his dislike for his time with the Yankees and expressed it felt good to move to a place where it's easy to hate the Yankees. The Red Sox are expected to promote Tyler Samaniego to take Gray's place on the roster.
