A Texas woman and her toddler, Julius, were attacked by their pit bull mix dog on March 22 at the Pecan Acres Mobile Park in Midlothian. The attack left Julius severely injured, with Kelsey Marie Welch's son airlifted to Cook Children’s Medical Center in Fort Worth, Texas for nine-hour surgery and a blood transfusion. The dog was eventually euthanized and no charges have been filed in connection with the incident. A GoFundMe has been established by a family friend to support the family as he recovers.
