Nets guard Egor Demin is eager to begin his offseason recovery following a successful procedure on his left foot. The 20-year-old Russian guard, who was Brooklyn's first lottery pick in 15 years, has been dealing with plantar fasciitis since last year and had to be shut down during his rookie season. Despite averaging 10.3 points, 3.3 assists and 3.2 rebounds in his rookie campaign, the issue eventually led to him being shut down. Dr. Andrew Brief of the Ridgewood Orthopedic Group suggested that alternative treatments may include platelets or stem cells or amniotic tissue injections.
