Gus Greene, a former state champion for the football team, has decided to further his career by leaving Gettysburg's lacrosse program to pursue a postgraduate year in order to continue playing football in tandem with lacrosse at Deerfield Academy next fall. Greene, who recently delivered Cohasset the Div. 7 Super Bowl title with a 22-14 victory over Amesbury, had already committed to Gettysburg to play lacrosse. However, after the Super Bowl win, Greene began receiving interest from more colleges, including Bryant, and Deerfield, where he received a call from Deerfield football coach Brian Barbato about possibly reclassifying. Despite his decision to leave, Greene still has one final season to play at Cohasseta and will begin his NEPSAC career at Delevine Academy.
