A gunman has been identified as Shamar Elkins, who killed eight children, including seven of his own, in Shreveport, Louisiana. The motive for the killings is still unknown. The shooting left the city shaken and confused. Elkins fled the scene on foot and hijacked a car, leading to a police chase that resulted in his death.
