Stock futures have surged after President Donald Trump announced that the US would postpone any strikes against Iran's energy infrastructure for five days due to "good and productive conversations" between the two countries. However, stock futures pared back some gains after Iranian state media denied that they were in direct talks. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents will be deployed to U.S. airports to help alleviate long airport security lines caused by the Department of Homeland Security shutdown. A California jury found billionaire Elon Musk defrauded Twitter investors ahead of his acquisition of Twitter, with damages estimated at $2.6 billion. The Dow had a fourth consecutive losing week for the first time since 2023, while the small cap-focused entered correction territory.
