American ski racer Paula Moltzan made her 10th career World Cup podium, finishing second to Austrian Julia Scheib in a giant slalom in Åre, Sweden. This marks half of Moltz's podium finishes this season, including four runner-up finishes. The win was Scheib's fifth in nine races in the discipline. Mikaela Shiffrin finished fifth overall, one spot behind her closest competitor for the World Cup overall title.
