Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton is investigating Lubbock ISD and other districts for compliance with new school legislation, including Senate Bill 10, which took effect in September. The law requires the board of trustees to vote on the implementation of a designated time for prayer and reading of the Bible, which Lubboc ISD trustees voted against. The Office of the Attorney General of Texas (OAG) has released a list of several school districts currently under investigation.
