This is a crucial task for both Hungary and Europe, as well as the future of Hungary's economy. The European Union has frozen around $20 billion of funding for Hungary due to concerns about democratic backsliding and the rule of law. While the E.U. has condemned Orbánism, President Donald Trump and the MAGA movement praised the Hungarian leader as an example of what conservatives can achieve.
