Malnourished dogs rescued from truck in Clive, owner accused of neglect

A Des Moines man, 41-year-old Brian Allen Bever, is accused of animal neglect after multiple malnourished dogs were found in his truck. The dogs were removed by Clive PD officers and transported to Furry Friends Animal Refuge for treatment and evaluation. Bever was arrested and charged with eleven counts of Animal Neglect. He is being held on a $3,300 cash/surety bond.
