Suffolk e-bike seizures quadruple as police say 'no excuse'

Suffolk Police has revealed that 72 e-bikes were confiscated in 2025, up from 12 in 2024, and six in 2023 respectively. The police believe that the illegal nature of these bikes is the biggest risk, particularly for pedestrians. If found to be breaking the rules, individuals will face legal action. The rules state that an illegal e-bike must meet certain criteria for its registration, taxation, registration, and driver's license.
