A Virginia man, Valeriy Kouznetsov, has been sentenced to two years and four months in prison for threatening to murder former President Donald Trump and other government officials. The threats were made on social media between February and May 2025. The posts included references to past attacks on Trump and threats to carry out similar acts. Kouznesov was later arrested in April 2023 for violating his supervised release and served an additional year and one day in prison.
