The Kentucky Derby weekend saw a record-breaking weekend, with thousands of visitors returning to Louisville Muhammad Ali International Airport for the holiday. Over 140 departing flights are scheduled for Sunday, with nearly 20,000 expected to leave, potentially setting a new record. The airport is expected to be the busiest day of the year at the airport, with departures up 13% compared to this time last year. Overall, the airport's total number of departures is 13% higher than the previous year. Travelers expressed their appreciation for the Derby experience, which they say is unmatched by the city's energy and hospitality.
