The Frost Hockey League (PHL) team lost 2-0 to Toronto Sceptres in their final home game of the regular season, marking only the third time the team failed to score a goal all season. The team's top three scorers are Kelly Pannek, Taylor Heise, Britta Curl-Salemme, and five of the top nine in the league. Despite losing two defenders to expansion Vancouver, Frost coach Ken Klee addressed the issue with the draft selection of Kendall Cooper in the first round of the draft, who has been a key player for the team this season. The Frost have qualified for the postseason for the first time in three seasons, having been the No. 3 seed.
