Munster's Nate Southwell, a senior and captain, has transformed his attitude towards baseball, focusing instead on hitting the ball out instead of focusing on his anger management and setting a good example for younger players. Southwell has been a key player for Munster’s baseball team this season, batting.455 with a team-high five home runs, 27 RBIs and 12 runs scored. The team is currently ranked No. 8 in the Class 4A state coaches poll and aims to contend for a 4A sectional title alongside other unbeatens including Andrean and Lake Central. Southell, a recruit from IU Kokomo, ranks among the state's leaders in home runs after hitting three in his previous two seasons combined.
