The tournament will be hosted by Canada, Mexico and the United States, with a total of 48 teams participating. The total number of teams participating in the 2026 event will be increased from 32 to 48, with 104 matches played in 16 venues across the three host nations. The World Cup's first match will be against South Africa on June 11.
