Jessie Jones, a TV actress and playwright, has died at 75 after a long illness. She was known for her roles in shows such as "Night Court," "Newhart," "Designing Women," "Murphy Brown," and "For Your Love". She also co-wrote episodes of the Warner Bros. sitcom “for Your Love” and "Teacher’s Pet” before becoming a successful playwright. Jones' partner Jamie Wooten announced her death. She is survived by her sisters, a brother-in-law, a niece and nephews, and by her friend and writing partner Woten.
