Ashley Cole 'discouraged' by coaching opportunties in England

Former Chelsea defender, Ashley Cole, has expressed his disappointment at the lack of opportunities in England for managerial roles. He was appointed as head coach of Serie B club Cesena last month, marking his first full-time managerial role. Cole had previously worked as assistant manager at Everton, Birmingham City, and England but his experience was deemed insufficient for a head coach role at any English club. He credits Cesena for their decision to take a "massive leap of faith" in hiring him. Cole's first game in charge at Cesena was in mid-March before registering his first managerial win.
