A "super El Niño" is predicted to occur this summer, potentially leading to 2027 being the hottest year on record. The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration's Climate Prediction Center has stated there is a 62% chance the natural climate pattern will emerge between June and August, with a 1-in-3 likelihood it will be particularly strong. This comes as a Falcon 9 rocket added 25 new satellites to the Starlink constellation, a remarkable technical achievement that raises the risk of an uncontrolled orbital chain reaction.
