The UFC's upcoming event at the White House, intended to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the USA, will not be the biggest of the year due to a blockbuster May 16 event on Netflix, headlined by a clash between former UFC champ Ronda Rousey and women's MMA pioneer Gina Carano. The White House card, which was supposed to be one of the biggest MMA cards of all time, will only feature two title fights, with Ilia Topuria defending the lightweight belt against Justin Gaethje and Alex Pereira aiming for the interim heavyweight title opposite Ciryl Gane. However, the rest of the six-fight card includes an underwhelming Bo Nickal vs. Kyle Daukaus middleweight clash. The main event will be promoted by Jake Paul's Most Valuable Promotions and will mark Netflix's first foray into MMA. Despite these retirements, Rousey, Carano and Topuria are still considered significant names in combat combat.
