The drought continues to grow across Jacksonville, Florida, with little or no rain forecast for the remainder of the week. This is the all-time driest Aug. 25 through April 15 period on record. The area has only received 12.04 inches of rainfall, which is 16.57 inches below the normal amount of rainfall. The dry weather has led to Fire Weather Alerts across the area and numerous fires that have spread out of control. The good news is that the dry weather may change as we head into the end of April.
