KitKat has launched a "stolen KitKat tracker" to help find the missing 400K of its candy bars. The Swiss food company, Nestle, announced that thieves in Europe stole an entire truck containing over 400,000 KitKat bars from an Italian production site on March 23. The company directed customers to find the 8-digit batch code on the back of their KitKat bar and enter it into the tracker, which then indicates if the chocolate is from the stolen batch. The stolen candy bars can be identified by a unique batch code assigned to individual bars and when scanned, it will relay instructions on how to contact KitKat. The theft has not affected KitKat supplies at retail.
