Loaded gun found in carry-on at Pittsburgh International Airport

A loaded gun was found in a passenger's carry-on bag at Pittsburgh International Airport around 5.36 a.m. Monday. The gun was identified as 43-year-old Garrett Beattie, who allegedly did not have a valid concealed carry permit and was charged with carrying a firearm without a license. Passengers can face up to $10,000 in fines for bringing a gun into an airport security checkpoint, and repeat offenders could be fined $13,910.
