GOP Reps. Engen, Hudson to be removed from committees after DWI stop

Two Republican lawmakers, Rep. Elliott Engen and Walter Hudson, will be removed from their committees for the remainder of this year's legislative session following a DWI incident. The pair were arrested on March 27 after Engen was allegedly driving drunk and speeding, while Hudson was driving with him. The decision was made by the Minnesota Reformer and House Speaker Lisa Demuth, who also plans to remove Engen from his position as co-vice chair on the House rules committee.
