18th & Vine leaders in Kansas City are planning to host official World Cup watch parties during the month-long tournament. The Jazz District, which has been closed since 2025 due to the construction of a pedestrian mall, is expected to reopen in mid-May, weather and circumstances permitting, with an opening day set to be announced in the coming weeks. The district leaders plan to host watch parties and host table soccer games during the tournament, which they describe as an "authentic" party experience. The launch of the event will take place on June 11, with the first match in the city scheduled for that day.
