Eugene Morgan, a 44-year-old resident of San Jose, was arrested in Arkansas on March 3 for allegedly assaulting a customer and damaging items at Peter's Bakery in December. The incident occurred when Morgan entered the bakery to sell items after an employee declined to purchase his wares and began to damage items in the business. A female customer attempted to film Morgan's actions, leading to an assault. The assault was caught on security cameras and later posted on social media. He was extradited to California on April 9 and charged with felony intimidation of a witness with violence and felony vandalism.
