Gilgo Beach Serial Killer, Michael Heuermann, pleaded guilty to murdering eight women in Suffolk County, New Jersey, including Melissa Barthelemy, Megan Waterman, Amber Costello, Maureen Brainard-Barnes, Jessica Taylor, Sandra Costilla, and Valerie Mack. As part of the plea agreement, Heuemanich waived his right to appeal and agreed to cooperate with the Federal Bureau of Investigation regarding the deaths of the eight women. He admitted to strangulating all the women and wrapping their bodies in burlap and using burner phones, luring each victim with promise of money, and dismembering the victims. He is expected to be sentenced to three consecutive sentences of life imprisonment without parole for the murders of three women.
