Javon Bennett, a 5'11 guard from Orlando, Florida, has joined Gonzaga for his fifth and final season of eligibility. Bennett was one of 24 college basketball players granted an additional year of eligibility in the Ohio lawsuit, which also allowed players to enter the transfer portal free of penalty. He joins Massamba Diop and Isiah Harwell as transfer portal additions for Gonzaga. Bennett, who spent his freshman season at Merrimack and three seasons with Dayton, will be the lone point guard on the roster for the 2026-27 season. Despite being undersized for a Gonzaga guard at 5' 11, Bennett is an expert ball-handler who can run an offense and navigate the pick and roll while also scoring.
