The winner of a $536M Mega Millions jackpot, named "Lucky Lady," has come forward and purchased her ticket online through the Illinois Lottery’s iLottery platform. This is the first Mega Millions prize claimed in 2026 and the second-largest prize ever won by an online lottery player in the United States. The current record for the largest online lottery prize remains a $552 million jackpot won in June 2024. The win marks the fifth win by an Illinois Lotter player in nearly five years. The state of Illinois also benefited from this recent Mega Millions run, with over $34 million in ticket sales generating over $13 million for the Common School Fund.
