Spurs rudely welcome Blazers back to NBA playoffs

The San Antonio Spurs defeated the Portland Trail Blazers 111-98 in the first round of the Western Conference playoffs. The loss was a welcome to the playoffs for the Blazers, whose mostly young and inexperienced rotation of playoff newbies was no match for the Spurs. The Spurs' dominance was attributed to Victor Wembanyama, their depth of their rotation, and their defense. Despite a brief lead in first quarter, the Blazers failed to live up to expectations. Five different San Antonio players scored in the game, including De'Aaron Fox and Stephon Castle. The Blazers' defense was criticized for their lacklustre performance.
